Cousins and Dixie Chicks! A look at our weekend

We were accepted into another Christmas market for November. This one is in Houston, Texas at Champion Forest Baptist Church on November 4-5th. Most of the shows we have gotten into are juried shows, so we had to send in pictures and products to be chosen to be a vendor. We were accepted into every juried show we applied for, which is very humbling. To know that our products made the cut is amazing for us.
We are actually just south of Houston this weekend, visiting with family. My boys are having a great time hanging out with their cousins and I'm brainstorming what I need to get done when we get back home on Sunday.
I'm excited about tomorrow night. My sister-in-law and I are going to see the Dixie Chicks in concert. I have waited many many years to see them in concert. I honestly thought I never would get to see them, so when the opportunity came up 9 months ago to get tickets, we jumped on the chance. Little did I know I would be neck deep in show preparation. I still feel a little guilty for being here and not home working on making soaps, but I'm glad to have this short break before things really get crazy! I do have one more night away in September for a special concert date with my oldest son. I bought tickets for us to go see Maroon 5 way back in November and gave it to him for his birthday, so he's been waiting a long time. Just 4 more weeks and we get a special night away, complete with an overnight stay in a hotel in New Orleans. My boys love staying in hotels, so it's like the icing on the cake for him. I can't wait!
